The Acoustasonic Tele is like no other Telecaster model in Fender history in that it was designed specifically to produce lush, full and authentic acoustic guitar sounds. Listeners may do a double-take when they see and hear it-far from the model’s traditional twang and bright, biting electric tone, the Acoustasonic Tele produces sounds with all the resonance and complexity of a full-bodied acoustic guitar.

Slipknot/Stone Sour guitarist’s new signature model debuts in January 2010

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Fender continues its successful partnership with Slipknot/Stone Sour guitarist Jim Root with the introduction of the Jim Root Stratocaster guitar.

Every bit as cutting edge as the oft-bemasked guitarist himself, the Jim Root Stratocaster is a formidable instrument and an unusual take on the Stratocaster, with a mahogany body, compound radius neck with jumbo frets and no fingerboard position dots, active EMG® pickups, black hardware and satin lacquer finish in flat black and flat white. Minimalist utilitarian looks; utterly molten tone.

The Jim Root Stratocaster joins Root’s previous signature model, the Jim Root Telecaster, introduced in summer 2007.

Dick Dale and son signature models, plus new Sonoran™ ’67 and upgraded Squier® dreadnought pack

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Fender Acoustics proudly introduces its new guitars for 2010, including a distinctive trio honoring surf guitar legend Dick Dale and his son, Jimmy Dale; a sonic blast from the past in the form of the ’67 Sonoran Limited and an update to the popular Squier SA-100 acoustic pack.

To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the release of genre-defining 1962 album Surfer’s Choice by the “King of Surf Guitar” himself, Dick Dale, Fender Acoustics presents the Dick Dale Limited Edition Malibu™ CE. Features include 3″-deep body bearing Surfer’s Choice album artwork and photos of the man himself in action, laminated spruce top, mahogany back and sides, reverse headstock, onboard preamp with built-in tuner, and gloss finish. Also new is the Dick Dale Signature Malibu™ SCE, gloss-finished in beautiful “Surfin’ Red” and boasting a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, reverse headstock, dual matching pickguards, 3″ body depth and Fishman® pickup system with built-in tuner.

Dale’s son, Jimmy-no slouch on six strings in his own right-also has a new signature acoustic model, the Jimmy Dale Signature Kingman™ SCE. The younger Dale helped design his own take on the Kingman model, with features including a 3″-deep all solid-mahogany body, dual pickguards, Fishman® preamp with built-in tuner, and natural satin finish.

Fender Acoustics pays homage to the groovy exotic-wood guitars of the ’60s with the new Sonoran™ ’67 Limited. The laminated milkwood back and sides impart a classic exotic look; the scalloped X bracing and solid rosewood bridge plate deliver bright sound and good projection. Modern touches include a soft “C”-shaped neck and onboard preamp with built-in tuner.

Squier’s popular SA-100 Acoustic Pack has received an upgrade in the form of a new dreadnought acoustic guitar with a laminated spruce top, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, nickel-plated frets and die-cast tuners. It hence plays and sounds better than ever, and the pack now includes an electronic tuner.

Telecaster® and two Stratocaster® models are “guitars for the times”

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The latest incarnations of Fender’s famous Telecaster and Stratocaster models comprise the new American Special series-built “by the people, for the people” as value-laden “guitars for the times.” They are designed specifically to bring the full Fender experience of a terrific-sounding, smooth playing, rock-solidly-built U.S.-made Fender guitar to players everywhere.

The three instruments in the new series-the American Special Telecaster, American Special Stratocaster and American Special Stratocaster HSS – are highly-affordable U.S.-made Fender electric guitars that are within the reach of an entire spectrum of players. As such, they share many features with their cousins in the acclaimed Highway One™ and American Standard series.

All three American Special guitars feature alder bodies with gloss urethane finishes, 9.5″-radius maple necks with jumbo frets, and Fender’s best-selling Texas Special™ pickups (the Stratocaster HSS also has an Atomic™ humbucking bridge pickup).

The American Special Telecaster has a vintage-style string-through-body Telecaster bridge with three brass saddles, a black pickguard, and is available in Olympic White and Three-color Sunburst. American Special Stratocaster has a vintage-style synchronized tremolo and white pickguard, and is available in Candy Apple Red and Two-color Sunburst. The American Special Stratocaster HSS has a rosewood fingerboard, black pickguard and vintage-style synchronized tremolo, and is available in Black and Three-color Sunburst.
