FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 6, 2009
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Jan. 6, 2009) – Jackson is proud to announce the Adrian Smith Dan Dimas Dinky guitar, a true labor of love between two cornerstones of heavy metal – Jackson guitars and Iron Maiden.
The Jackson Adrian Smith San Dimas Dinky guitar features an alder body, bolt-on quartersawn maple neck with a compound radius maple or ebony fingerboard, DiMarzio® Super Distortion bridge pickup with Fender® SCN middle and neck single-coil pickups, Floyd Rose® tremolo, black hardware, and is available in Snow White with a white (ebony fingerboard) or black one-ply pickguard (maple fingerboard).
Since their inception in 1975, Iron Maiden has pioneered heavy metal music through the release of 23 albums and are considered one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time. Smith joined Iron Maiden in 1980 taking stage with fellow guitarist Dave Murray—and eventually Janick Gers—in the NWOBHM titans, and quickly became known for his incredibly-fast legato playing style.
“When Jackson sent me a prototype of my signature guitar, I liked it right away,” said Smith. “So much so, it became my number one choice onstage for the ‘Caught Somewhere Back in Time’ tour. It passed the test with flying colours, performing the all-important basics like staying in tune, (having) great electronics, and providing me with a great means of expression. It’s one of the loudest guitars I have. I can’t wait ‘til the next tour.”
Jackson Adrian Smith San Dimas Dinky guitars are available at Jackson dealers worldwide with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2,799.99. For more information, go to www.jacksonguitars.com.
